In mid 2018 Tordis edited and proof-read my book-length creative non-fiction manuscript. In particular I asked her to make sure the formatting was consistent and the references correctly cited. The manuscript was made up of nineteen separate texts including personal essays, scholarly essays, journalistic essays, poems and two poetic glossaries. Tordis worked collaboratively with me and the result was very satisfactory. She understood the work at a deep level and this helped her to make suggestions that suited the goals of the work, rather than just being conventionally correct.
'I cannot speak too highly of Tordis Flath's superb indexing and editorial work. Logical, meticulous and prompt, Tordis is a reassuring pleasure to work with; and her award-winning indexing, additionally strengthened by a unique ability to reflect the language and tone and convey the multiple depths of a text in ways that take account of the competing needs of researchers and readers, is outstanding.

Thank you very much. It was a pleasure working with you. We were both very satisfied by the service – and putting up with our, at times, less than prompt replies to your queries. I shall be happy to use you again on a future job.

I have no hesitation in recommending Tordis. Her efficiency and professionalism meant our experience with her was the easiest of any stage of the publication process. I look forward to working with her again in the future.

The Supreme Court and the National Courts of Papua New Guinea have been using Tordis Flath and her team since 2012 to copy edit, layout, proof read, index and table ready for printing the Papua New Guinea Law Reports (selected cases), the Supreme Court and the National Court Case Notes (notes of all cases reported electronically) and some other publications. We have been very happy with the quality of the work, its timeliness and economy.

SAMS (Standards and Monitoring Services) contracts to a range of government organisations to conduct evaluation and development work on their behalf. Since March 2008, Tordis has provided SAMS with proofreading services. Typically, this has involved her in proofing and editing evaluation reports intended for the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Development. SAMS has experienced Tordis as professional, responsive, flexible and diligent. Tordis has taken the time to understand our needs, offer valuable insights to our report writers and is quick in responding to our requests. We are pleased with the efficient and attentive approach that characterises her work and recommend her professional services.
